  2. One of many - lining up for an ice cream cone at Sunny and Grand's summer parties. And, on 4th of July, watching the fireworks in their back yard while listening to music Grand put on out his bedroom window and running around with sparklers.
Remember when the banking caught on fire? Yikes!!!!

  3. Well I was kinda hoping more would jump on here. You can't really say you don't have time-because for most of you there's plenty of that!! :)
One of my favorite memories is a Christmas Eve when I was about 9 or 10. I woke up to about 8 inches of snow (this was before Weather Channel so you didn't have hourly forecasts), and everyone was coming home that day. It was by far one of the best days of the year. We'd decorate the tree and mom would be cooking wonderful thinks in the kitchen. Always sporting her apron! We'd invite family over for Christmas Eve dinner and the kids were allowed to take their dinner and eat under the Christmas tree. Memories are priceless.

  4. Some of my favorite memories are of the family reunions at the farm and Lake Morey. I remember porter potties, a morning bonfire, and playing in the rain. I remember too a big game of keep away in the lake with lots of tackling, splashing and laughter.

  5. This comment takes a bit of thought, 90 years is a LOT of memories.
When I made myself zero in, I decided most cherished memories are made in our early youth. I have a lot of them that include my father. I spent a lot of time with him. Being the oldest, he would take me in tow wherever he went. Some were very meaning full, others were just fun.
My Dad was a fun loving person. a very outgoing and likable personality. I have memories, some quite vivid, of riding in the car, all the windows open, music blaring and going down country roads. Another is of places he took me along. One a black church in downtown Philadelphia, I can still see it. Also the small church at Valley Forge where he did Sunday evening services. Then the fun - women's roller derby, stock car races and Atlantic City in it's heyday. I'll stop - Told you there were lots !

  7. I remember spending time with my friend Emiliano Gavazza visiting the soldiers that were stationed at the Sagamore Bridge to guard the approaches to he bridge(this was during World War 11). One day the soldiers asked us to get them some food. I went back to my house and proceeded to clean out the refrigerator of all of the sliced meat and Italian bread. Needless to say my Mom was a little upset, since we didn't have that much food to start with. My Dad was not a happy camper either.

  9. Going fishing with Dad---just us. Caught my first blue fish--still remember it like it was yesterday! Being asked to open the garage door in Schenectady when returning home from First Communion---the anticipation and excitement, even though we knew there was a new bike there waiting for us! Going out on the boat with Sunny and Grand---except that she always brought egg salad or tuna fish sandwiches....bleh. "Skiing" down the front yard at Hite Court. Mom trying to save the frog that lived on the patio from the snake that also lived on the patio. Amy being born....I was 10, so it was a biggie for me!!
